Hydraulics Technician
Alpine F1 Team have a unique opportunity to join our Hydraulics Team. This role will undertake the assembly, servicing and testing of all hydraulics, heat rejection and low pressure fuel system components on car including; powertrain hydraulics, PAS, collectors, pumps, DRS and all other associated components from the car. The components will ultimately be delivered to our teams at the track.  

The Role
Based at our facility in Enstone, this role will be responsible for the delivery of reliable and on time hydraulic components through:

  • Assembly, test and service of new and in-service hydraulic components to the highest standards, in accordance with specifications and meeting targets.
  • Assembly, test and service of heat rejection components
  • Ensuring compliance to ERP (Dynamics, Work-to-lists for example), stock management and factory systems for all work completed
  • Delivery of hydraulics components to the highest standards throughout component life cycle, ensuring right-first-time, on-time delivery.
  • Close relationships with the Design & Engineering department to continuously improve assembly procedures in line with company vision and objectives.
  • Working to the highest standards, including correct service and maintenance of existing equipment and rigs and ensuring a clean organised and safe environment.
  • Ensuring reliable components are delivered to internal and external dyno rigs and supporting internal and external tests where necessary.
  • Escalation of any issues that could impact quality, on time delivery etc.
  • Working effectively with all teams to ensure continuous team development and knowledge sharing.

The Person
We are looking for someone who has the following attributes:

  • Flexibility to attend races, tests or external events when required.

In terms of your technical skills, you will have:

  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems build, service and repair and good understanding of the tests.
  • A good understanding and appreciation of fuel and heat rejection components
  • Advanced knowledge of Health and Safety at Work regulations.
  • Good understanding of assembly methodologies used in the industry.
