The Role:

 

We are looking for a skilled and experienced designer to join our Model Design team in the Team Leader role. In this role, you will spearhead the creation of innovative solutions to enhance the aerodynamic performance of our Formula 1 car.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of model designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality output.
  • Oversee the design and development of models, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Aerodynamicists, Engineering, Production, Model Shop and Wind Tunnel Engineers, to align model design with overall project goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in model design and incorporate them into the team’s work.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement best practices, processes, and tools for efficient model design workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to model design and development.

 

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Formula 1 model design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Previous leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Proficiency in design software Catia 3DX, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
