General Manager

Are you a strong leader with a background in manufacturing and a passion for driving operational excellence? We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee our North America operations.

PWR is a global leader in high-performance cooling solutions for the automotive, aerospace, and defence industries. We manufacture top-quality aluminium radiators, intercoolers, and oil coolers for leading racing teams in F1, NASCAR, V8 Supercars, DTM, and the World Rally Championship. We also manufacture many bespoke components for aerospace platforms, from single prototypes, through to full production volumes, with the capacity to undertake rigorous validation tests in house. What makes us stand out is our flexible manufacturing process, done entirely in our own state-of-the-art facilities in Australia, North America, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate our core values of respect, passion, and teamwork in every aspect of your work, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Optimise the overall operation of the facility. Responsible for operating budget and local P&L.
  • Drive productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Work in partnership with local functions including finance, engineering, production, quality assurance, sales and human resources to ensure alignment with local and global goals and objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Implement corporate strategy and report to the board.

Key Competencies:

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role with experience managing P&L.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes ideally with a mechanical engineering background.
  • Ability to prepare, interpret and present financial and business reports.
  • Strategic leadership ability and high-level interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards, especially in safety management.
  • Understanding of drivers of quality assurance and proven ability to manage to quality assurance guidelines.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, technical maturity and flexibility to adjust to change.
  • Experience in lower volume, bespoke manufacturing.
  • Business development experience.
  • Experience in the automotive, aerospace or defence industry.
