Electronics Instrumentation Engineer

We are currently looking for an Electronics Instrumentation Engineer to join our Systems Engineering department. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with designers to help create and monitor the most performant systems that run on track at each event.

As an Electronics Instrumentation Engineer, you will be:

  • Supporting the Senior Systems Engineer with sensor specification and development.

  • Taking ownership of reliability testing and analysis of electronic systems.

  • Completing fault investigations and fault rectifications.

  • Maintaining the configuration of data acquisition systems.

  • Responsible for designing microcontroller based embedded systems.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a variety of electronic sensors, standard automotive sensors and instrumentation.

  • Experience using microcontroller-based hardware and software as well as the understanding of electronic design principles.

  • Prior experience in a motorsport or automotive environment.

  • Degree in an Engineering related subject or relevant transferable experience.

  • Knowledge of CAN communication protocols.

  • An understanding of IT infrastructure and IT configuration.

  • A collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • A high attention to detail coupled with great organisational skills.

  • The ability to work with an open and flexible approach and prioritise tasks to agreed deadlines.

  • Great communication skills both verbally and graphically to help communicate throughout the design process.
