Reporting to the Head of HR Operations, the HR Administrator’s role is to provide timely, proactive, and accurate HR administration to support the work of the HR Service Centre. You will act as a first point of call for employee queries, working with the wider team to pro-actively provide resolutions.

Key responsibilities for the HR Administrator will include:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all queries coming into the HR Service Centre ensuring all enquiries are responded too in line with agreed SLAs and customers are kept informed at all times of the process.

  • Provide advice on policies and procedures to employees and managers.

  • Work in conjunction with Talent Acquisition to ensure contracts of employment are issued in a timely manner.

  • Liaise with our background check provider to administer checks for candidates and employees.

  • Log and update real-time payroll updates to HRIS for all employees.

  • Process transactional employee payroll changes in Workday.

  • Provide accurate and timely payroll and benefits administration via HRIS along with the administration and communications associated with staff benefits.

  • Ensure benefits and payroll platforms are updated as required.

  • Ensure the accurate operation of HRIS with a focus on accurate and up to date data, including all information being held centrally in the HR system.

  • Support with HRIS improvements, optimising functionality within the tool to improve employee experience.

  • Maintain electronic employee records within HRIS for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Support with writing end-to-end employment lifecycle processes as well as suggesting ways to make efficiencies and process improvements.

  • Support the HR team to deliver excellence in all areas of HR, contributing on ideas, opportunities and blockers.

  • Work proactively with the team to exceed in the delivery of team and organisational OKRs.

  • Work with the wider HR Service Centre team to undertake regular audits in line with the employment lifecycle process.

  • Support the wider HR team with administration relating to HR projects.

The ideal HR Administrator will have:

  • Previous proven experience working as an HR Administrator with a passion for developing and evolving current procedures and processes to ensure a first-class experience.

  • Up to date working knowledge of UK employment legislation and its implications for employers.

  • Basic knowledge of payroll and pension legislation.

  • Ability to work closely with HR colleagues to build a strong team ethos and high performing team culture.

  • Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information and maintain confidentiality at all times

  • Proficient and comfortable using multiple technology platforms, including experience and competency with Excel, Word, Teams.

  • Confident verbal and written communicator at all levels, with a style that is clear, engaging and collaborative.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships working with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Ability to work flexibly in an agile way in order to meet deadlines.

  • A high degree of resilience with the ability to work and prioritise under pressure.

  • Ability to deal confidently and sympathetically with a diverse range of people, using good interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across cross functional teams.
