Rotational Engineering Graduate Scheme (2024)

Here at Xtrac, our graduates will commence the rotational  programme with the first six months in our engineering department. Once this six months is completed, the scheme rotates through a four month core placement in commercial, quality, purchasing, programme management and the MSO. At the end of the two year programme, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake a potential three month placement in Xtrac Inc, alongside our Xtrac employees.

From day one, you’ll have the opportunity to dive headfirst into your role. You’ll have the freedom and responsibility to work on challenging projects and collaborate with other teams. You’ll also broaden your knowledge and gain insight into the business by taking on projects within or between other departments.

Entry requirements:

  • 128 UCAS points at A-Level or in an equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of a 2:1 in a relevant degree discipline (including Engineering)
  • Work experience is desirable though not essential

Engineering

Xtrac’s advanced engineering group, encompassing Gear Technology, Research & Development, Production Engineering and Metallurgy, operates as a consultancy providing forward thinking engineering solutions to keep us and our customers well ahead of the competition.

Manufacturing Support Office

Our Manufacturing Support Office (MSO) provides various forms of assistance, guidance, and resources to support the manufacturing process. It plays a supportive role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing activities.

Purchasing

Xtrac’s purchasing department plays an important role in supply chain management decisions. The purchasing team is responsible for selecting suppliers, negotiating, and administering both short term purchase orders and long term contracts, monitoring supplier performance, identifying, and mitigating risk in the supply chain, whilst developing a responsive and engaged supplier base ensuring strong supplier relations are maintained.

Commercial 

With a strong orderbook and a growing number of exciting new project opportunities in both the Motorsport and High Performance Automotive (HPA) sector, we are opening up a commercial position within our new graduate rotation scheme.

Programme Management 

Programme management is a separate department that defines, co-ordinates and maintains all of the activities required across the whole business for successful new product introductions (NPIs).
