We are looking for a Wind Tunnel Operator (m/f/d) for our Aerdynamics Departement in Cologne, Germany.

Your tasks:

 

  • Execute Wind Tunnel test runs according to aerodynamic activities planned
  • Usage of Wind Tunnel Control Systems and solve possible problems and failures with the (sub)systems during wind tunnel sessions
  • Regular inspection and maintenance of wind tunnel machineries and equipment
  • Preparation of wind tunnel systems before each test session
  • Mechanical assembly, installation and testing of wind tunnel and model equipment and tools
  • Provide support and information to Wind Tunnel Aerodynamic Engineers

 

Your profile:

 

  • Willingness and curiosity to learn the technological aspects of Wind Tunnel testing
  • Excellent team player and communicator, able to work effectively across multiple groups
  • Daily responsible working style and good interpersonal skills
  • Have good manual dexterity for mechanical and or electrical tasks
  • Capable to work at high level sometimes under high pressure
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Availability to work in day & night shift system in Wind Tunnel environment including weekend and bank holiday
  • Be familiar with Windows platform and Microsoft 365
  • Good written and spoken English language skills
