Senior Power Supply Systems Engineer

BackgroundPurpose of RolePrincipal Accountabilities

  • Agree and deliver program targets for the Body Electronics team.
  • Support supplier commercial engagement and program delivery through the project.
  • Lead all critical program activities for the Body Electronics team.
  • Serve as the main point of contact to engage with the architecture team and project management to define and agree the Vehicle Electronics for all McLaren vehicle platforms.
  • Work as part of a small team, reporting to the Principal Engineer - Body Electronics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Electronics architecture experience for harness and power distribution design in an automotive environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design and packaging for Power Supply systems.
  • 12V power systems design experience for automotive applications.
  • Experience of the Supplier Management process.
  • Proven track-record of system/component design and delivery within automotive/aerospace/engineering.
  • PC literate and at ease with MS Office products
  • Experience EDS vehicle testing - Harness DVP and sign-off process.
  • Experience of fault finding and Root Cause Analysis for EDS.
  • Experience Test and integration of vehicle Electronics systems.
  • Generation and approval of detailed specifications.
  • Experience gained in Automotive OEM or tier one supplier.
  • Lab car and mule development and POC activities
