About the Role:

A vacancy has arisen within our team for a NDT Technician on a 12-month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for inspecting composite and metallic components using non-destructive techniques and verifying the quality of components and assemblies.

You will be joining a championship winning team which is driven to deliver operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing in-process and final quality checks ensuring products comply with relevant specifications.

  • Recording and evaluating test results and subsequently generating NDT inspection reports.

  • Highlighting any non-conformances and actively contributing to the overall quality of the products and processes.

  • Maintaining test equipment and ensuring it remains in calibration.

  • Understanding the materials to be tested, how they are manufactured and the impact on the end product.

  • Actively contributing to improvement initiatives targeting lead-time, quality and health and safety.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a qualified NDT Technician with PCN or Aerospace (EN 4179) Level 2 qualifications in relevant NDT disciplines (MPI, DPI, EDT). Experience of UT, Digital Radiography and CT would be considered an advantage.

The successful candidate for the above role must be committed, motivated and self-disciplined in their work. Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail are necessary, together with the ability to work under pressure. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with production, design and managerial staff. Good PC Skills and the ability to write clear and concise reports is necessary.

Flexibility in hours and a can-do approach is required, along with the ability to work in a team with minimum supervision.
