Job Description

This commercial position is a key role in finance but also the surrounding business. As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up. You will also be directly responsible for the two finance assistants.

As an independently operating member of the team, you will have strong communication skills, be confident in using computers and a variety of software. You will work accurately and efficiently in a fast paced environment with attention to detail being a key skill.

Duties include:

· Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.

· Formulate strategic and long-term business plans

· Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries.

· Budgeting and forecasting.

· Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the board.

· Provide any other accurate financial reports to specific deadlines

· Managing the year end accounts and being the lead contact with the accountants

· Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.

· Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.

· Responsible for the VAT Returns as well as any other business relating to MRHHHMRC

· Reviewing the weekly bank reconciliations

· Supervise staff

· Being the main point of contact for all finance related queries from Senior Management

Our ideal candidate will have a proven experience as a Finance Manager ideally within the automotive industry but industry specific experience is not essential. You will also have experience in using Microsoft packages including Excel. You will be a self-starter able to work to specific deadlines and deliverables.
