About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team for a Composite Scheduler reporting to the Composite Planning and Logistics Manager.  In this role, you will be scheduling tasks within the composite fitting/bonding department that is responsible for fitting/trimming, bonding and assembly of complex carbon fibre reinforced plastic structures such as the chassis, gearbox carrier and wings.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To generate a clear and achievable daily production schedule for the composite fitting/bonding department.

  • Align work schedule to the master manufacturing plan, the department capacity and part availability.

  • Identify constraints on meeting scheduled tasks and recommend improvements.

  • Track progress on component assemblies, ensuring committed deadlines are achieved.

  • Generate production routings for parts and assemblies.

  • Work with the logistics team to ensure that all necessary materials and components are available for scheduled tasks.

  • Ensure all child components are assigned correctly to assemblies to comply with following company procedures of part traceability, consumption, and parts management.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes and production efficiency.

To be successful you will have:

  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing methods and techniques.

  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product control documentation is essential.

  • Good planning and organizational skills with an attention to detail.

  • Able to perform under pressure, using own initiative, with a positive can-do attitude.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Familiarity with using ERP systems to manage orders and parts – SAP knowledge is an advantage. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Competent using PCs and common business software (e.g. Microsoft Office).
