This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pirelli Motorsport Team based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. This job share role is 25 hours per week. Flexibility will be given for days to be worked and there will be a mixture of office and home working. 

Working as an integral and key part of the Pirelli Motorsport Services Limited (PMSL) UK Finance function, with a link directly into our Milan HQ, the role will be responsible for all financial accounting and management accounting and reporting related to the Motorsport entity in the UK.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting (short term) and strategic planning (medium term) processes
  • Monthly rolling forecasting process across Profit & Loss, Balance sheet and Cash flow
  • Flash and Actual reporting of actual results on a monthly basis for management and financial accounting purposes 
  • Fixed asset accounting and reporting of all capital expenditure also including accounting for IFRS 16 leased assets
  • Tax accounting and monthly reporting across direct and indirect taxes
  • Nominal ledger maintenance and accounting in line with the Pirelli Group Accounting Manual
  • Administration of expenses and invoicing to ensure accurate intercompany recharging to Pirelli Group
  • Monitoring travel expenditure and administration of staff expense claim reimbursement
  • Ensuring that Financial processes and controls operate effectively and in line with Internal Audit rules, Group Compliance rules and the Group Operating Procedures
  • Involvement in statutory audit enquiries
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements
  • Collaborate with and advise local and Group managers and peers in financial aspects of business projects
  • Respects the ethical code, code of conduct, internal policies, procedures and instructions
  • Is responsible for keeping his/her working place clean and in order in compliance with the 6S standards
  • Participates to all required training activities and development actions

Qualifications

Education and professional background: 

Essential 

  • Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA
  • Relevant financial accounting experience including statutory financial statements and tax
  • Experience in management accounting, budgeting and forecasting activities 
  • Excellent IT skills including SAP and MS Office 

Professional and personal aptitudes:  

  • High proficiency in Excel 
  • Good analysis skills, able to interpret data and then communicate findings accordingly 
  • Able to establish and develop relationships at all levels within the organisation 
  • High level of attention to detail 
  • Resilient and flexible in the approach to work 
  • Able to work under pressure, often with changing demands / deadlines
