Track Services Supervisor

Road America is searching for a full time year-round qualified Track Services Supervisor to oversee all emergency and safety services. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for leading a dedicated team, ensuring all procedures are up-to-date, and guaranteeing the smooth operation of our safety systems.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee all safety functions at Road America, including hiring and managing the safety team, observer(corner worker) program, and medical team.
• Develop and manage the safety team schedule, ensuring efficient daily operations.
• Implement and maintain a comprehensive training program for the safety staff.
• Manage fire extinguisher servicing, inspections, and ensure all safety equipment is operational for events.
• Provide clear and concise written and verbal briefings to the safety team.
• Supervise the observer team and collaborate with the observer coordinator for optimal staffing and information flow.
• Manage the medical team, ensuring adequate staffing and operational readiness throughout the season.
• Oversee race control operations, including supervision of the Race Controller.
• Act as Chief Steward and ensure all track activities comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain clear communication with management regarding race incidents and challenges faced by renters.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, ideally within emergency services (firefighting, EMS, dispatch).
• Experience in security or law enforcement a plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of race operations, including race control, pace car procedures, stewarding, flagging and communication protocols, timing and scoring systems, and emergency response procedures.
