Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E. The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.
Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Control Systems Validation Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will work within the Control Systems group and be responsible for the validation of control systems software, configurations and tools, ensuring that high quality software is delivered to optimise car performance and reliability. Principal Accountabilities:
- Follow a DevOps-based continuous delivery software lifecycle to verify embedded software development.
- Validation of SECU configurations and their associated tools.
- Assist in determining verification and validation requirements.
- Developing automated test processes.
- Contribute to the development of our SIL, HIL and other test systems.
- Participate in the process improvements to the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar.
- Extensive experience within a software development environment.
- Experience with model-based software validation in a MATLAB Simulink environment.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, C# or Python.
- Experience with motorsport data logging systems, preferably F1 SECU and associated tools.
- Experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN and sensing technologies.
- Ability to plan and manage own workloads.
- Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email.
- Is self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines.
- Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
