Background:
Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E. The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team. 

Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Aerodynamics Project Planner to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will work within a group of multi-skilled technicians and engineers focused on the management, servicing, maintenance, and development of the mechanical, electromechanical, instrumentation and control systems of the aerodynamic department’s 60% wind tunnel model. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for scheduling and managing the wind tunnel test plan, including all associated inputs (aero design, production, etc).
  • Provide detailed and clear planning reports and schedules.
  • Ensure continuous process development to improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Work closely with the aero development teams, model design, model shop, production, and department senior management.
  • Assist colleagues working in technical roles with the best possible management support.

Requirements

  • Experience of project planning and management, ideally within a similar motorsport environment.
  • Good understanding of processes within motorsport aerodynamics development.
  • Well versed with planning, programme management and progress monitoring.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and ERP.
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders/directors.
  • Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email.
  • Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
