Reward Analyst

We are looking for a Reward Analyst to join the team to support with the development and delivery of the reward strategy across Williams.

Reporting to our Head of Reward, you will support with the delivery of cyclical reward activities, as well as key projects to deliver on aspects of the reward strategy. The Reward Analyst will focus on building strong, effective relationships with managers across Williams to communicate key reward messages, being an influential advocate of Williams’ culture, as well as work closely with external providers on various aspects of the total reward offering.

We are looking for someone with specific know-how and responsibility for maintaining compensation and grading structures, fixed and variable pay analysis, remuneration reviews, benchmarking and job evaluation. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting with the delivery of the annual remuneration review processes (including data validation and integrity checks, remuneration review systems build in HR systems, testing and verifying bonus and calculations). 

  • Supporting with reward reporting and analytics, working alongside internal departments to co-ordinate and provide accurate data.

  • Ensuring optimization of the cost cap.

  • Conducting benchmarking using Willis Towers Watson, and other surveys/forums, including input into annual surveys, ad hoc benchmarking requests or benchmarking projects across Williams.

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the reward/job architecture framework.

  • Supporting with wider reward team activities during peak times in the year.

  • Supporting with total reward projects at Williams and to drive continuous improvement through knowledge of reward best practice, market Insights and through engaging with Williams employees.

  • Supporting with employee queries on reward topics.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous proven experience working in a similar role.

  • Specialist knowledge of reward and an understanding of remuneration reviews, fixed and variable pay, grading structures, benchmarking, job evaluation and reward systems and processes.

  • Competency in using reward technology, as well as MS Excel.

  • Wider knowledge and understanding of reward and regulation in order to support with BAU and reward project work.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot trends and propose recommendations.

  • Strong knowledge of reward and broader HR processes and policies.

  • Basic commercial awareness of the external market and an understanding of industry developments in remuneration.

  • Ability to analyse and evaluate complex data and evolving data sources to recommend reward solutions.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.

  • Strong and confident interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing, are required.

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualification, or qualifications through Reward expert providers such as WTW.
