CNC Machined Parts Quality Inspector – Permanent Position

Position: Quality Inspector
Shift: Night, Permanent
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM
Overtime: Regularly Available
Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire
Salary: £36,000 - £46,000 per annum + Overtime + Performance Bonus
Benefits: Workplace Pension, Performance Bonus, Onsite Parking, and Regular Overtime

As part of SRD's ongoing expansion, we are looking to hire a CNC Machined Parts Quality Inspector for the night shift.

Additionally, actively recruiting for all shifts and a variety of roles, therefore we welcome applications from CNC Machinists, Quality Inspectors, as well as Office and Production Team Members. This is an excellent opportunity for talented individuals with an engineering background and specific experience in the motorsport or aerospace industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspections of CNC machined components based on customer design and technical specifications.
  • Utilise a variety of inspection equipment, including but not limited to CMMs, height gauges, verniers, and micrometers.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
  • Complete various types of inspection reports such as FAIR, PPAP, and ISIRs.
  • Document control and ensure inspection reports are accurate and provided as needed.
  • Support the inspection department in maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Conduct Final Inspections and First-Off inspections to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong experience with inspection tools like Height Gauges, Verniers, and Micrometers.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
  • Experience with CMMs (Mitutoyo with MCOSMOS is an advantage but not essential).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
