About the Role:

A vacancy has arisen for a Partner Coordinator within the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team.

Working within the Partner Services team the successful candidate will operate cross functionally within the Marketing Operations Department, with Partner stakeholders and their agencies, to understand the Partners business, their sponsorship objectives and assist the team in the daily activation of their Partnership.  

The role is based out of the team headquarters in Brackley UK and requires periods of international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand Partners businesses, short and long-term Partnership objectives and working with team members to align these with a marketing activation strategy. 

  • Attend Partner meetings to build rapport with key stakeholders, understand Partnership status, document and report outcomes.

  • Manage the daily communication and coordination with select Partners.

  • Assist in the planning, development and delivery of creative activation ideas relevant to partnerships specific objectives – including the research and creation of presentations and briefing documents.

  • Work collaboratively with Partner agencies and internal departments to plan and execute across all areas of Partnership activation including:

    • Driver & Management appearances.

    • Communication activity.

    • Events & hospitality.

    • Experiential activation.

    • Case study creation.

    • Capture and report on activation delivery, documenting results and how they align to Partnership objectives.

    • Management and documentation of activation approvals.

    • Support the Partner Services team on a range of administrative tasks including, rights delivery tracking, status report management, project planning, event scheduling and budgeting.

    • Assist the Partner Services team and wider Marketing Operations Department in the planning and delivery of factory, off-site, and trackside activity.

    • Support senior members of the Marketing Operations team on the wider delivery of contractual rights and event delivery.

Candidate Profile:

This is an entry level marketing role suiting candidates with relevant interest and an educational background in sports sponsorship and marketing.

Successful candidates will ideally have some work experience within a similar environment, have an outgoing, positive character and be willing to gain experience across a number of marketing disciplines.

We are looking for a candidate who will thrive on working in a fast-paced and pressurised environment with high levels of drive and enthusiasm. The candidate must be organised, with good time management skills and an acute attention to detail.

We are a team dedicated to constant improvement and need driven and passionate individuals who demand the best from themselves and are willing to work across the marketing team to learn and gain experience.

Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with the ability to work under minimum supervision with a ‘can do’ team attitude.

Additional Key Skills & Experience:

  • Relationship building.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Language skills are desired but not essential.

  • Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects simultaneously.
