Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
 
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. 
 
The new team has two locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In Audi Formula Racing GmbH IT, you will manage the IT team and be responsible for all IT systems at AFR GmbH, including the data centres and Mission Control. IT forms the backbone of power unit development and provides all systems for finance, procurement, QA, logistics and HR in addition to test bench operation and development. 

Your Mission

  • Content and disciplinary management of the IT department 
  • Planning and managing the IT department’s budget
  • You are responsible for the security of company data and information systems and continuously identify and evaluate potential risks
  • You will identify and implement new technologies and systems to continuously improve the IT infrastructure and processes
  • Monitor and control ongoing processes, user support and system and application documentation
  • You plan, manage and monitor large IT projects – from conception to implementation
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure including the computer centre, supporting the software used and carrying out regular maintenance work on the IT systems
  • Centralised procurement of hardware and software for AFR GmbH

Your Profile

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics
  • Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
  • Several years of professional experience in network, system and infrastructure management
  • Experience in management tasks in a comparably large organisational unit
  • Experience in the analysis, implementation and optimisation of processes
  • Experience in setting up data analytics and AI solutions 
  • In-depth know-how in the areas of an integrated SAP S/4 HANA system, network, virtualisation, MS and SQL servers, MS Office programs, data centre operations, etc. 
  • Proven knowledge in the areas of IT security, data protection and ITIL
  • Experience in project management and leading project groups
  • Experience in analysing, diagnosing and rectifying infrastructure faults  
  • Commitment, motivation and a high degree of flexibility
  • Independent, responsible, service-orientated way of working and strong ability to work in a team
