Job Summary:

We are looking for an Inventory Manager that can add structure and systems into our fast-paced Inventory department. This position will report to the Supply Chain manager and together you will make improvements to how Inventory is managed and processed at our organizations.

Job Role:

  • Oversee a team of inventory personnel in multiple locations to ensure Inventory is organized and accurate
  • Manage the schedules of employees to ensure support for production and overall operations
  • Communicate business goals and objectives with inventory employees
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address personnel issues in conjunction with HR
  • Department planning for growth strategies
  • Manages the recruitment and training of new inventory employees
  • Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels
  • Develop a cycle count program and manage annual physical inventory count
    • ABC Cycle Counts for various projects from low volume to long term production
  • Evaluate deliveries, shipments and stocking levels to improve inventory control procedures and optimize operations and cash flow
  • Analyse daily production and stock levels to anticipate and communicate inventory problems and shortages for resolution
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
  • Work with Engineering and Planning to ensure Bills of Materials and Work Orders/Routers are accurate. Process updates to these as needed.
  • Ensure Purchasing and/or Consumption Conversion Factors for items are accurate
  • Manage accuracy of issuing materials to work orders
  • Maintain reorder points and Kanban card system
  • Manage Certificates of Conformance and Safety Datasheets processing system
  • Manage items/inventory in High Value cage
  • Other Duties as assigned
