Graphic Artist

Hendrick Motorsports, a championship-winning NASCAR operation, is currently seeking a graphic artist with a positive attitude and passion for creativity and delivering best-in-class results.

The graphic artist will be part of an existing creative services team comprised of a director of creative services, (2) graphic designers, (4) production content creators, and (3) social media representatives. The candidate will be responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, on-brand, and on-strategy creative for social media, licensing and merchandise, business development, events and hospitality, and support other creative needs across the company.

The position requires exceptional creative skills and vision, along with the ability to adhere to brand guidelines and collaborate with team members on projects. Ensuring consistency and excellent communication while developing time-sensitive projects are vital. The graphic artist will report to the creative services director and may from time to time work with external stakeholders, including corporate partners, to ensure projects are delivered on deadline and meet all stated objectives.

The candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The candidate must also have a professional portfolio to showcase related work samples.

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience working in graphic design or other creative role
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ensuring projects are completed on deadline and meet or exceed expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; copyrighting experience is preferred
  • Excellent data organization skills
  • Staying current with industry trends and willingness to participate in training to further develop existing skills and learn new skills
  • Professional-level experience using Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Strong conceptual skills in design, layout, and typography
  • Ability to create t-shirt graphics & promotional assets.
  • Ability to draw race cars & create paint schemes is a plus.
  • Ability to capture vintage/retro aesthetic is a plus.
  • Ability to separate art files.
  • Ability to create style guides.
  • Product design development – graphic creation that could be used for various products such as decals, posters, drinkware, hardgoods, etc.
  • Understanding of licensing and merchandise is preferred
  • Knowledge of business presentations is preferred
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, or 3D CAD is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams; ability to develop visually compelling PowerPoint presentations is required
  • Operating with professionalism and integrity at all times
