We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join us.

Please note this is an office-based role only.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to support the Accounts Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

Role activities will include (but not limited to):

  • Input of Purchase Ledger Invoices
  • Supplier Payment Runs
  • Dealing with Customer/Supplier Requests
  • Input of Sales Ledger Invoices
  • Processing Payments/Receipts
  • Credit Control
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • General admin duties

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 GCSE Grades 5+ including Math's and English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • A keen interest in Finance.

Desirable

  • A minimum of 1-year in a similar finance/office-based role.
  • Prior knowledge of accounting systems and their function.
  • A good understanding of MS Office, specifically Excel.
