Owen Developments was established in 1984 when Brian Owen our founder began his own company based on the supply and remanufacture of turbochargers for the passenger car market, this soon grew to include the supply of custom built turbochargers for the performance and motorsport market including control turbochargers for specific racing series such as the British Touring Car Championship.
In recent years Owen Developments added a car garage/ workshop side to our business model, the view being to offer a one stop shop to all customers who suffer a failed turbocharger on their vehicle meaning we can remove/repair/refit the turbo all in house, including all other aspects of servicing and repairs to vehicles, we are also a member of the Auto Care "Approved Garages network".
Job Title: Mechanic
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues and provide appropriate solutions
- Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex problems
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Liaise with customers from quotation to vehicle hand over
- Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mechanic
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
