About the Role:

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced technology specialist within the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team.

The successful candidate will operate cross functionally within the team, with Partner stakeholders and their agencies, to understand and align both the teams and Technology Partners requirements and strategies and help manage their successful integration and showcasing. 

The role requires a good understanding of the IT landscape, Technology brands and their Partnerships within sport, and is based out of the team headquarters in Brackley UK with periods of international travel. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the IT Department to understand all current technology integration between the team and our Partners.

  • Follow market trends to understand and foresee opportunities to enhance the team’s technology road map.

  • Work alongside the Marketing Operations Department to understand our technology partnerships; help ensure we deliver upon their objectives, and ensure their contractual entitlements are delivered to the highest standard.

  • Help showcase the team and our Technology Partnerships by attending and speaking at events and business sessions, being a spokesperson for presenting technology case studies on behalf of the Team.

  • Work across the teams IT, Commercial and Marketing Operations Departments to help develop existing and create new Technology Partnerships and integration strategies that align with both the Teams and Partners requirements.

  • Continuous research and analysis of established and new technology companies with a focus on how technology is being integrated into large global sports teams and events.

To be successful you will have:

The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of the IT sector and of Technology Partnerships, past and present, within sporting teams and/or events, as well as relevant business-related skills and experience.

An interest in international business, with experience of having worked with senior stakeholders within a variety of organisations, the successful candidate should have excellent relationship management skills and experience of working within a high-performance team.

We are looking for a candidate who will thrive on working in a fast-paced and pressurised environment with high levels of drive and enthusiasm, multi-tasking across numerous on-going projects, whilst working in a busy office environment as well as on the road.

The candidate must be organised with an acute attention to detail and have the ability to understand, translate and mediate between business units and Technology Partners. This role requires a candidate who experienced and comfortable to create and present in front of a variety of audiences.  

Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with the ability to work under minimum supervision with a ‘can do’ team attitude. Occasional travel to races and Partner events will also be necessary.
