Purpose of the Role:

McLaren sells a wide range of consumer merchandise and licensed products through authorised resellers, B2B activities and an expanding eCom business.

The primary purpose of the role is to support the B2B Sales Team in the purchasing, order processing, logistics and invoicing and systems management / administrative duties of the B2B Sales department. Providing excellent administrative support the role will contribute to deliver sales and profitability to a growing, revenue generating department and success focussed racing team.

The role will involve working with a wide variety of contacts at all levels – across McLaren Racing and our Sponsor Partners as well as with external suppliers and licensees.

  • 9 – 6pm, no travel, Woking based
  • Permanent position Full time


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Support on order operations from enquiry through to delivery and invoice stages, to include quotes, order tracking, delivery support and status updates.
  • Manage day to day communications with suppliers over product developments, proof approvals, order placements and deliveries.
  • Maintain Salesforce system with all product and asset uploads.
  • Maintain Salesforce CRM system and execute promotional communications to partners.
  • Raise all department purchase orders in the internal system.
  • Process sales orders, and produce quotes, delivery notes and customs invoices.
  • Run relevant reports to monitor stock levels and manage replenishment alerts and reorders.
  • Update and maintain centralised order status tracker.
  • Liaise with finance team on supplier and customer set up process, stock status and invoice requests.
  • Co-ordinate global freight channels to ensure deliveries to partners are prompt, orders complete and system shipping quotes are accurate.
  • Manage customer order critical paths and communications updates on orders ensuring on time and on spec deliveries.
  • Maintain and update B2B sales assets throughout the season.
  • Responsible for the B2B sales platform data and asset management, weekly updates of stock levels, customer account information, CRM and all general administrative tasks associated with the sales e-portal platform.
  • Attend partner sales meetings with Sales team and compile meeting notes, follow up and action points when needed.
  • Support with merchandise enquiries from internal teams and the wider McLaren group.
  • Co Ordinate internal order sales windows and order fulfilment.

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Highly numerate – able to work with numbers and ensure accuracy at all times.
  • Highly organised – able to prioritise work and to ensure all aspects of a function is considered with a strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable – takes pride in fulfilling set tasks on time and delivering on set goals.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office – Excel and Powerpoint in particular.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Understanding of sales process, global freight and sponsorship desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking.
