An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Programme Engineer to join the Motorsport department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of the role is to support all aspects of product design verification and production after design release. To support the factory-based engineering function for motorsport products in the field.

Job role:

 

  • Liaise with the MSPT design function on project requirements capture & qualification for new projects. 
  • Liaise with the MSPT design function to develop the design verification plan and subsequently work alongside the MECH group to design and execute the testing required. 
  • Consider all aspects of in-field operation of the MSPT products and feed-forward into design as appropriate. 
  • Liaise with the MSPT track support function to determine the suitability of all controls & software solutions in development. 
  • Support the programme management function with the product build plan and liaise with workshop functions to ensure a consistent approach to manufacture & quality. 
  • Once MSPT product has been delivered/deployed you will support the fault/issue management and resolution processes. 

 

MSPT Team: 

As a member of the MSPT group you will: 

 

  • Be available to travel to race events as required 
  • Participate in such business process development as required 
  • Participate in such business development, commercial and contractual tasks as required 
  • Cooperate, as required, with other WAE departments to support any other projects or initiatives within WAE 
  • Implement the company’s Health & Safety policy

 

You’ll have:

 

  • The candidate must have a relevant engineering degree (or equivalent)
  • The candidate should have significant experience in high level motorsport (F1, WEC, Formula E etc), with a minimum 2 years in small team leadership or project coordination roles, or demonstrate experience of other significant technical/resource/commercial responsibility.
