Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E. The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team. 

Job description:
We have an opportunity for an HR Director to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing human resources policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the company’s goals and objectives. This role champions the people agenda within the company, ensuring a compliant and responsible organization where each team member is proud to be part of the company. Principal Accountabilities

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develops and plans the execution of the company’s people plan to provide the company with a competitive advantage versus other teams.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support the organization's overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to champion and align HR initiatives with the company's values and strategic direction.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process to attract and retain top talent.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of talent development including graduate programmes, student placement schemes, apprenticeships, and succession planning programs.
  • Develop and implement a performance appraisal and feedback processes.

 

Employee Relations:

  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Monitors consistency in employee relations concerns and outcomes, using trends and insights to review positive employee relations interventions.
  • Address employee concerns and conflicts while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and regulations.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Manage and implement compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and health benefits.
  • Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices based on best industry practice.

 

HR Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, records management, HR technology, accurate people data, controls and reporting.
  • Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.

 

Compliance:

  • Stay up to date with employment legislation and regulations and ensure the organization's compliance.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practice.

 

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):

  • Develop and implement DEI initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Promote a culture of fairness, respect, and equality.

 

Employee Engagement and Retention:

  • Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention.
  • Conduct employee surveys and use feedback to drive improvements.

 

HR Analytics and Reporting:

  • Use data and metrics to inform HR decisions and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Outline HR KPI’s and report these to the senior management team.

 

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring cost-effective HR operations and utilising cost cap exclusions under the Financial Regulations.

Requirements

  • Substantial senior level experience in a generalist HR role with a full CIPD qualification (level 7).
  • Demonstrates strong collaborate leadership and analytical skills, able to contribute to business strategy.
  • Empathetic people person, able to establish and maintain credible relationships with people at all levels.
  • Strong evidence of successfully working on their own initiative and working as a member of the management team.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills; with experience in managing simultaneous projects.
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with strong attention to detail; able to engage, motivate, lead and inspire a wide range of different people.
  • Ability to lead the development of HR solutions that are flexible and adaptable to meet the unique needs of an evolving and rapidly growing organization.
  • Proven ability to translate HR knowledge into pragmatic and professional approaches.
  • Considerable experience in managing and advising on complex employee relations issues in an international context.
  • Excellent dynamic and inclusive leadership skills with the ability to build, maintain and motivate high-performing teams that deliver at pace.
  • The highest level of integrity, discretion and professionalism with the ability to exercise judgement at all times in ambiguous circumstances.
  • Experience of working on strategic HR projects such as well-being, talent management, learning and development, performance management and diversity, equality and inclusion.
  • Ability to line manage / lead teams effectively.   
  • Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
