Quality Inspection Management: Oversee the end-to-end quality inspection processes for Body Assembly, Surface Finish, General assembly build validation. and functionality of our Mclaren Automotive products. Lead and direct the inspection team in conducting thorough inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Leadership and Team Management: Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the inspection team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. Support team members in their professional development and training to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Process Improvement: Take a proactive lead in setting, managing, and continuously improving McLaren's processes and quality standards. Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency gains, implementing improvements to enhance overall quality and productivity.

Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment, encouraging innovative ideas and initiatives from team members. Lead efforts to drive improvements in quality metrics and assertively address any areas requiring enhancement within the wider business.

Metrics Improvement: Lead the improvements in quality metrics, monitoring performance against key quality indicators and driving actions to achieve targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, ensuring continuous improvement in quality performance.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment of quality objectives with business goals and customer expectations. Actively engage with internal departments to address quality-related issues and drive improvements in processes and procedures.

Level Zero landscape steering: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of Level Zero management efforts. Monitor metrics such as resolution time, resource utilization, and impact on production quality to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Several years of experience in quality management roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in automotive or related sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, processes, and methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, or similar approaches.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance quality performance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas and concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) is desirable.
