Social Media Manager - Motorsports

Do you want to own Red Bull's motorsport channels and become an expert in Rally Raid (Dakar), WRC, WRX, F1, Drifting, Motocross, Hard Enduro and Moto GP? Then this is your dream job.

In this role you’ll ensure that the company’s motorsports network priorities are curated into an authentic and unique strategy and then communicated to a global audience effectively, efficiently and with best-in-class application.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY

Our goal is to address our audience in a consistent, brand adequate, and uniquely endemic tone of voice. Doing so, you’ll lead the social media strategy for all aspects of motorsport at Red Bull from overarching strategy to project-specific briefings. This includes implementation of new social formats that significantly increase audience engagement across each motorsport vertical, which aligns with the overall motorsports strategy and delivers against business objectives. Furthermore, you’ll take care of the day-to-day management of external freelancers working directly with the motorsport’s playground.

  • CONTENT

You’ll increase the internal understanding of new and distributed media, ensuring all content is suitable for the rapidly evolving distribution landscape and acts as a spearhead for social innovation. In addition, you’ll ensure that channels have ample content to promote around key motorsports projects, athlete initiatives and events outside of the office. On site, you’ll be responsible for all elements of creating, programming and publishing of content in the relevant motorsport’s channels.

 

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

 

  • 3+ years of experience publishing content to brand social media channels and social content optimisation
  • Passion for motorsport – you understand the disciplines we work with and you speak their language
  • Strong ability to critically analyse social media, digital products, video consumption patterns, and social media platform algorithms
  • Detailed understanding and awareness of social platform trends, content formats and language with an investigative mind that continually evaluates the changing environment
  • Team-player and self-starter mentality, structured and well-organized with a passion for telling strong and authentic stories
  • A related post-secondary degree is considered an asset
  • Fluent in English. Additional languages not required, but considered an asset
