McLaren Racing’s entry in Extreme E and Formula E aims to accelerate McLaren Racing’s sustainability journey and reach a new, more diverse global audience and workforce. Based on the unique Bicester Heritage site, the Extreme E and Formula E teams combined are known as NEOM McLaren Electric Racing.

Purpose of the role:

In this role, you will be responsible for transactional areas that drive working capital within the Electric Racing team enabling us to manage cash effectively. We have invested and are continuing to invest in growing the team and creating an exciting and collaborative culture which you will support.

You will be the first point of call for all cash related processes and queries and will help propel the team forward through use of automation and improved process.


Role Dimensions:

You will collaborate, be supported by, and be part of the wider McLaren Racing finance team, while working closely with the team based at Bicester Heritage – home to NEOM McLaren Electric Racing. You will play a significant part of our small finance team in Electric Racing, which includes the Formula E and Extreme E series, developing new mindsets and processes as we enter a cost capped world. You will work alongside the rest of the Electric Racing Finance Team all of whom are fairly new but have significant experience and knowledge to support you in your role and in achieving our goals.

We have adopted hybrid working across the team, but flexibility to work hours will be required to meet the operational demands of the teams you support.

Principle Accountabilities:

You’ll spend your time:

  • Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable ensuring that appropriate controls are in place.
  • Managing the expense ledgers and subsistence.
  • Supporting month ends as required.
  • Identify efficiencies in process and be brave in making these happen.
  • Responsibility for and maintenance of process documentation.

NEOM McLaren Electric Racing is based at the Bicester Heritage site on the edge of Bicester.
