Job Summary:

Assist Lead Demold Technician with organizing and maintaining production in the Demold Department.

Job Role:

  • Assist Lead with rolling out new parts to employees
    • Assist Lead to lead, mentor, assist, train lesser skilled Demold Technicians in the fundamentals of demoulding, mould cleaning and storage
    • Lead/supervise
    • Providing a positive work environment
    • Facilitating processes
    • Provide positive and constructive criticism when assisting, looking over Demold Technician’s work product/technique
  • Assist Lead with ensuring procedures are followed at all times
    • Notify Lead/Supervisor/Manager of any discrepancies
    • Reinforce proper procedures at all times
  • Assist Lead with maintaining a clean and organized work space
    • Reinforce cleaning procedures with employees if they aren’t being followed
  • Assist in maintaining a good/respectful work environment
    • Notify Lead/Supervisor/Manager of any improper behaviours
  • Assist Lead with ensuring required personal protective equipment (PPE) is being worn
    • Notify Lead/Supervisor/Manager of any violations
    • Reinforce required PPE with employee if they are not being followed
  • Provide feedback to Lead/Supervisor/Manager and Management on how to increase efficiency
  • Responsible for GSS daily balancing
  • Attend the morning production meeting when covering for Department Lead
  • Responsibilities also include Demold accountabilities/duties, and other duties as assigned

Principal Demold Accountabilities:

  • Properly remove composite components from bagging and moulds
  • Clean, prepare, assemble, and store moulds properly
  • Utilize hand and powered tools
  • Baked resin removal and release systems
  • Ability to work with Production Supervisor’s established priorities to assure workflow is sustained and attending to other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Advise management of best manufacturing practices
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to memorize part names, which customer they belong to, and specific demolding processes to each individual part
  • Ability to properly open Autoclave to unload parts
  • Ability to be multifunctional and assist different departments so workflow is sustained
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Must have excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to use small hand tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, manual routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices
  • Must be willing to work well under pressure as part of a strong team
  • Have a can do, positive attitude that contributes to building a positive work environment

Job Type:

Non-exempt, full time

Regular Hours of Work:

Normal Business Hours 1st shift 7:00AM – 4:00PM, 2nd shift 4:00PM – 1:00AM, Mon-Fri; Weekends, Holidays and work hours as scheduled by Management.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions
  • Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
  • Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment
  • Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
