In 2019 Joe and Guenther decided to launch an AS9100 / ISO certified sister company called Composite Factory. Composite Factory’s primary focus is to diversify our business into Aerospace, Aero structures, Aviation and Defense, and the Medical industries that require a higher level of traceability and certification. Job Summary:

If you’re excited to finish innovative composite parts and be a part of a team of people whose goal is to produce high quality parts that exceed our customer expectations then our Finishing Department needs you!

Job Role:

  • Manually sand or trim composite parts to engineering drawings
  • Bond and assemble composite parts using rivets, fasteners and adhesive
  • Ensure that composite assemblies meet bonding material or engineering drawing specifications
  • Prepare composite surfaces by filling or sanding to specified surface requirements
  • Advise management of best manufacturing practices
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Must have excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to use small hand tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, manual routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices
  • Must be willing to work well under pressure as part of a strong team
  • Have a can do, positive attitude
  • Exemplary attendance
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback
  • Understands, works within, and contributes to the continuous improvement of safety, health and environment requirements; adheres to all safety policies, reports safety and risk hazards

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions
  • Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
  • Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment
  • Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
