We have a new opportunity to be part of the Race Team in the role of Race Team Assistant.

 

In this role you will be required to:

  • To take responsibility of the air and road freight operation, including preparation of required customs documents, invoices and Dangerous Goods within the timeframe agreed with freight forwarders.
  • To assist with both air and road freight operations to all events, planning of loading/ unloading as required.
  • Build relationships with required suppliers, raise necessary purchase orders to renew or repair equipment in a timely manner as required or dictated by the race events.
  • Assist with budgetary requirements, ensuring the Race Team budgets are maintained.
  • Manage, raise & request of European Carnets. Looking after all relevant documents, trackers, and inventory of Carnets.
  • Ensure that Known Consignor protocol is always followed when preparing air freight.
  • Organisation of Known consignor and all other relevant training required for Race Team Operations and Build & Car Assembly groups.
  • To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally always and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure
  • To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard
  • To drive Company vehicles as required in a safe and professional manner.

 

Key skills:

  • Previous experience in F1 motorsport environment with logistics.
  • Ability to demonstrate good working relationships with internal departments and outside suppliers
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge Excel for customs invoicing.
  • Ability to raise purchase orders and manage budgets.
  • To be available to travel if required to fulfil the requirements of the Race Team
  • To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
  • Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication and organisational skills
  • Possess an innovative and flexible approach to creative problem solving and possess the ability to work through challenges in a scientific and analytical manner
  • Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills
  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
  • To be flexible to working hours as required
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build and develop good working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety
