With the continued investment in our IT Operations group at Alpine F1 Team, we have a new position to join the team as a IT Race Engineer.
IT Race Engineer – The Role
Within this role you will be part of a team that is responsible for the management, monitoring and maintenance of client, telecommunication and infrastructure systems that enable the team to go racing.
This role may develop to involve extensive travel, in the first instance with Race Support events and with the potential of Race events in the future if required.
You will be prepared to work weekends, providing specialist support for real-time environments such as the Race Operations room in Enstone, as well as the Simulators and Dynos on site.
You will integrate with the IT Operations team and help contribute to any initiatives as required.
IT Race Engineer – The Person
We are looking for an individual with proven experience providing 2nd & 3rd line support in high-pressured environments. You should have some experience with infrastructure technologies, with networking, virtualisation and telemetry systems being the most beneficial, and a keen desire to develop in depth knowledge in a wide variety of areas.
You will be expected to initiate and lead technical initiatives to aide Continual Service Improvement, as well as helping to promote Cyber Security best practices wherever possible.
