CAM Programmer

BWT Alpine Formula One Team have an exciting opportunity to join us in the role of CAM Programmer working in our Aerodynamics Machine Shop. The Role

In this exciting role, you will be a valued member of a small team tasked with producing offline programs to support us making good value, high quality parts in a timely manner on 5 axis milling machines. Your primary tools will be Hypermill and Vericut.

Your programs will produce high precision, one-off and small batch volume components for the wind tunnel model and associated engineering projects, so high attention to detail is a must. You will be skilled at interpreting technical drawings and 3D Models, you will have the ability to fault find own machining processes, feedback model issues to designers and team leaders. You will have a continuous improvement mindset and be efficient with your machining strategies and programming time.

 

 

The Person

You will be highly motivated, with a positive can-do mindset and great attention to detail, capable of producing high quality components to tight deadlines even when under pressure. This is fundamentally a team role, so you will be an excellent communicator, working flexibly to meet demanding schedules, and proactively looking for ways in which we can make our processes more efficient and effective.

In this role you will be based at our Technical Centre in Enstone. It is a permanent role on dayshift.
