Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has two locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
Your mission
- Improvement and analysis of tyre and braking performance with the aim of increasing vehicle performance
- Classification of all relevant tyre properties using laboratory data sources and onboard sensor data
- Identification of model parameters and evaluation as well as assessment of model correlations
- Provide tyre property predictions to the vehicle concept group and trackside operation team
- Continuously measure and analyse tyre performance and support the race team before, during and after races
- Cross-functional collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Your profile
- Successfully completed studies, MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Experience and understanding of empirical and physical tyre models and the determination of model parameters
- Strong mathematical and data analysis skills
- Good understanding of performance-related aspects of vehicle-tyre interaction
- A high level of expertise in Matlab (Python and/or C++ desirable)
- Commitment, creativity, result and performance orientation
- Professional, reliable and independent way of working
- Persistent, open-minded, resilient team personality with a strong solution-orientation
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is a must
