An award-winning, first choice supplier to Motorsport, Advanced Materials occupies a state-of-the-art 18,000 sq.ft facility in Newbury, Berkshire.
Offering a vertically integrated service from design, pattern-making, tooling, inserts and fully finished carbon fibre components, the business aims to re-enforce its position as one of the leading suppliers to the composite industry.
The Role
- Working at the forefront of composite engineering, our trainees develop a range of skills which will advanced them to a career in the motorsport and aerospace industry.
- Our trainee programme runs between 18-24 months and will see the right candidates developing expertise and experience including supplying the fast paced world of Formula 1 motorsport. Manufacturing components and tooling to tightly controlled tolerances, in our modern, clean well equipped facility.
Experience
- Ideally a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in manual hands on engineering or a manufacturing environment. (Desired but not essential as full training will be given).
- Knowledge and a track record of working with technical drawings and specifications. (Desired but not essential).
- Experience of working as a part of a team in a creative and positive environment.
- Keen eye for detail and precision.
- Candidates with transferable skills will be considered.
Additional Details / Considerations
- As our core business resides in Motorsport, Automotive and Aerospace, having an interest in these sectors can be beneficial, but not essential.
- Advanced Materials is a fast-paced exciting business that works in conjunction with many industries, therefore an interest in looking to deliver on challenging projects throughout the year as part of a team is important.
Working Hours
- Day Shift, 42.5 hours per week, full time position
- Overtime is available during the week and weekends
