BB Finishing are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our team. We are part of the ever expanding BB Group of companies, who are looking to build a team of trained professionals in the finishing industry
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical processes and a keen eye for detail. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our company standards. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment. You will also be filling in for our shot blaster when needed, meaning being proactive in learning a new skill and precision in the preparation side will be essential
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or grinding as necessary. Shotblasting is a part of this preparation. Training will be provided.
- Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings uniformly to metal parts.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring that all specifications are met.
- Assemble and fabricate components as required prior to coating.
- Maintain an organised and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and your manager to optimise production processes and improve efficiency as well as following time schedules in line with preparation and powder coating
Requirements
- Previous experience in powder coating and preparation is preferred however training can be provided with the correct attitude towards the role.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
