Motorsports Project Manager

Job Description

Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.

The Role

GM Motorsports Performance Engineering is looking to expand its motorsports engineering group. GM Motorsports is currently racing in many series including NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA and is pursuing an entry into Formula 1. We are seeking a Motorsports Project Manager to work with the GM Motorsports Programs to aid in the management of various engineering projects, focusing on budgets and approvals. You will collaborate with the racing programs during all stages of life ranging from aerodynamics to physical testing to software development.

  • Work with GM, key partner, and race team members to support engineering projects

  • Use your program management experience for timely deliverables and keeping budgets on-track and up to date

  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task in a dynamic ever-changing environment and with a strong work ethic and integrity

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Management

  • 5+ years of project management experience following the completion of a degree

  • Knowledge of various engineering departments within professional Motorsports racing

  • Ability to balance multiple projects efficiently, including prioritization and working to tight deadlines

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to navigate relationships with internal and external partners

  • Cursory knowledge of software development
