Electrical Harness Junior

We have the following opportunity to work at our prestigious engineering facilities as a Electrical Harness Junior, working as part of a small team of technicians to manufacture, test & maintain high quality electrical wiring systems & components for use on our range of racing engines & electrical power systems.

We are looking for an individual who is confident, keen on developing new skills and is able to demonstrate the following qualities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build & test motorsport specification electrical harnesses & sensor assemblies from a detailed drawing & using military / Autosport connectors, crimp tooling, System 25 materials and contra-helical lay ups to meet production requirements.
  • Build & test electrical components.
  • Fault find & repair of electrical harnesses.
  • Compliance with the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
  • Proactively contribute to maintain a positive & proactive team atmosphere & work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Detail definition of wiring harness & sensors / actuators build specifications.
  • On-site (workshop & engine test cell) electrical hardware & wiring repair, maintenance & service.
  • Understanding and ensuring system compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Comply with the requirements of the ISO9001: 2015 QMS.

Skill Set Required

  • Previous experience of automotive or defence standard electrical wiring & related systems advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with standard Office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project etc).
  • 18th Edition qualified preferred.
  • Willingness to learn.
