NOLA Motorsports Park is on a mission to provide a top-level innovative facility offering excitement and a passion for motorsports and entertainment. The Director of Operations is a key leadership role within our organization and responsible for overseeing all facility and track daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective management of resources.

Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision and help build the NOLA Motorsports Brand.

This position reports to the CEO.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all company facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment
  • Responsible for the operational management and safety of motorsport and track events
  • Integrate operational activities with event operations to ensure the successful execution of facility events
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facility maintenance program
  • Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and operationally efficient
  • Lead and manage a team of facilities staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for the facilities team
  • Develop and manage the facilities department budget
  • Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies, equipment, and services
  • Optimize the use of resources to achieve cost-effective operations
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations and maintenance
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for facility improvements and expansions
  • Identify and implement opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Plan and oversee facility upgrades, renovations, and new construction projects
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
  • Negotiate and manage contracts for facility services, including maintenance, security, and cleaning
  • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans for all facilities
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts and ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for facility operations

  • Motorsport Operations or Facilities management experience in high pressure environment
  • Racetrack knowledge and understanding
  • A firm understanding of racetrack safety, processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), maintenance practices, and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Proven leadership and team skills; ability to motivate and manage all levels of staff and management
  • Basic understanding of budgeting and finance
  • Proven financial analysis and assessment skills
