Principal Software Architect & Developer (m/w/d) for Racing Applications

We are looking for a Principal Software Architect & Developer (m/w/d) to be part of our application development and works motorsport team in Cologne, Germany. In this role within the IT department, you will be mentoring other developers with your agile and architectural expertise, develop and maintain a range of applications and solutions, mainly used by our race team and vehicle performance engineers.

Your tasks:

  • pre-evaluation and conception of software projects
  • support strategic software infrastructure and architecture decisions for ongoing and future projects
  • mentoring application development team with technology, methods and standards (SCRUM)
  • function as an interface between the engineering department and software development, as well as between frontend and backend development
  • accompanying the development process in both a controlling and active role (programming)
  • adaptations of existing systems to meet new requirements
  • solving highly complex problems and develop elegant solutions with high coding standards to build robust, secure, and flexible environments

 

The successful candidate will:

  • have a Master / Bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science or software engineering
  • be proficient in software architecture, cloud architecture (AWS) & design patterns
  • have a SCRUM master certification with deep understanding of principles, roles, events, and artifacts
  • be an experienced mentor by sharing your in-depth knowledge and experiences with the team
  • have deep knowledge of programming languages, development frameworks, and infrastructure. Mainly .Net Core & C#
  • be able to write and speak professional English, additional German language skills are an advantage
  • experience with one or more of the following would be an advantage: WPF, VB.Net, Web development, Typescript, Databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, InfluxDB), CI/CD, Microservices (Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes)
