Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.  

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.  

The new team has two locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The Marketing Director will be a central force in setting this vision.  As the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for building a new department and leading all aspects of our global marketing strategy, playing a pivotal role in establishing our identity as the official Audi F1 works team and propelling us to the forefront of Formula 1 and the F1 community.
 
This role requires a hands-on approach, not only to optimize our marketing proposition but also to build a community and create a culturally relevant home from where we can set new standards through an innovative, uncompromising and energized approach.

Your mission

  • Develop and refine the brand strategy and plans to align with the team’s vision, enhancing the Audi F1 works team’s presence both locally and globally, oversee the deployment of marketing plans across the various marketing channels
  • Responsible for creative direction and creative strategy encompassing Brand & CI/CD (incl campaigns, brand partnerships etc.) 
  • Oversee the creation and execution of digital marketing strategies, including content creation, social media management, and digital campaigns, to maximize reach and engagement
  • Lead and implement a merchandising and licensing proposition alongside dedicated team-members. This will also include management of official teamwear and apparel for the season.
  • Enhance fan engagement through targeted campaigns, interactive platforms, and community-building initiatives, turning spectators into passionate advocates
  • Lead the e-commerce strategy, optimizing online sales channels to improve customer experience and increase sales performance
  • Establish and monitor the implementation of brand and corporate identity guidelines across all marketing materials and communications to ensure consistency
  • Management and strategic control of content distribution and associated digital and offline platforms (Website, Social Media, Newsletters, Fan Engagement Programs, E-Commerce, Membership programmes etc.)  
  • Ongoing collaboration with other departments to ensure existing and new platforms are effectively leveraged 
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure that marketing strategies are cohesive and aligned with overall business objectives
  • Manage a significant budget, strategically allocating resources to maximize return on investment and ensure effective reporting and financial accountability
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and innovations in sports marketing, adapting strategies to maintain competitiveness and brand leadership
  • Represent the Audi F1 works team at key events, enhancing the brand through strategic presence and partnerships
  • Manage and oversee all marketing materials and assets from conception to execution, in collaboration with peers and internal stakeholders, including hospitality operations, team wear, and merchandising
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure a cohesive brand message and strategy
  • Manage a significant budget, allocating resources efficiently across all marketing channels and ensuring accurate reporting and facilitating prioritization of spend across key projects and teams
  • Stay at the forefront of marketing innovation, continually seeking new and improved methods
  • Significant travel and flexibility is required for this role with active participate in live events and races

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Over 10 years of experience in a senior marketing role, preferably in sports, entertainment, or luxury brands.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams
  • Demonstrated success in crafting and executing effective global marketing strategies
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding a high-performing marketing team
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, adept at handling multiple high-priority projects
  • Innovative and forward-thinking, with a focus on continuous improvement in marketing practices
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effective cross-departmental collaboration and negotiation
  • Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
