​THE ROLE

With our expanding customer portfolio, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Customer Support Engineer to provide engineering support alongside our busy Customer Programmes. This includes WRC, BRC, ERC, and Customer Engineering Requests. Extracting maximum performance whilst ensuring the efficient running of our competition vehicles, the Customer Support Engineer will work on our most successful global rally car, the Ford Fiesta Rally2 – travelling the world in pursuit of the very best results.

​The role and responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical assistance on tests and events.

  • Support the Programme Manager in achieving business targets.

  • Defining and delivering vehicle running procedures and ensuring the efficient running of customer cars.

  • Helping to drive an integrated and collaborative approach to improving performance aspects, including identifying and resolving technical issues.

  • Prepare post event reports and bulletins for both internal use and customers to include event and performance analysis of both the car and team.

  • Ensuring the cars comply with FIA technical regulations.

  • Creating high quality technical documentations and details of technical upgrades and release to the customers. 

  • Helping the team in the development and improvement of internal systems to aid efficiency and quality.

 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

​We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and can-do attitude.

​You should be educated to either a MEng or BEng degree level in either Motorsport/Automotive Engineering and have a thorough understanding of motor vehicles and their systems.

​You should have experience and knowledge of data logging and analysis software, and be well organised and delivery focused, as well as having strong problem-solving skills.

​You should pride yourself on your attention to detail and be capable of delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.

​Excellent communication and relationship building skills and be confident producing professional technical documents and reports.

​A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar chassis/race engineering role in Motorsport. This can include; Rallying or Racing.
