Funk Motorsport is a leading manufacturer of heat protection materials and blankets for the automotive industry. We specialize in innovative heat management solutions for high-performance vehicles.
We are expanding our team to meet the growing demand for an upcoming mass production project and are seeking experienced sewing machinists to work full-time in our Harlow facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our production team and be part of a project offering consistent, ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sewing machines to mass-produce heat protection products based on existing designs and specifications.
- Work efficiently with heat-resistant materials while adhering to safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Follow detailed production processes and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and output.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Contribute to the preparation of restock runs of existing product lines as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a sewing machinist, particularly with heavy-duty materials.
- Ability to work with heat-resistant fabrics and specialized threads.
- Experience in mass production or working in a high-output manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality in repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work with existing designs; no design work required.
- Familiarity with Juki machines is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with thick or tough materials is advantageous.
