Maintenance Engineer

What You Will Do:

  • Optimise machinery output and product quality, minimising plant downtime through preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a specific area of the factory, promoting good engineering practices.
  • Identify root causes for breakdowns and communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Section Manager.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety guidelines.
  • Follow good engineering standards and hygiene practices within the department.
  • Timely reporting of any Health and Safety and Environmental Issues.

What You Will Bring:

  • Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Level 3 NVQ in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 4+ years of engineering experience, with electrical or welding/fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to fault find on process machinery or equivalent equipment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
