Junior Operations Planner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Operations Planner to join the Operations Planning team here at Williams. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the ‘’last mile’’ delivery of key assemblies to freight on-time by clearing typical bottle-neck tasks.

As a Junior Operations Planner, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support fast turn-around of Class 5, Repair or Modification items between races.

  • Assist the Operation Planners to ensure parts progress through production in a timely manner. 

  • Adjust timing plans to communicate key milestones to different departments and stakeholders around the business. 

  • Chase closure of NCRs, correction of paperwork, completion of picks or any other barriers to delivery to ensure the parts keep moving. 

  • Assisting the Parts Coordination team to insure SEOQ is fulfilled. 

  • Generating timing plans for delivery of key assemblies. 

  • Monitor and chase lists of ‘key orders’ and track their progress through their routings. 

  • First point of call for MESTEC WO routing changes 

  • Weekend departmental cover.

We are looking for a Junior Operations Planner with the following experience and skills:

  • Ideally degree qualified (MEng in Manufacturing/Production Engineering preferred) or have a technical background and experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work to tight deadlines and short lead times in a small volume manufacturing environment making complex high quality and value components would be a significant advantage.

  • Good knowledge of modern manufacturing processes and understanding of engineering.

  • Excellent Communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Excellent attention to details and a can-do attitude.

  • Willingness to be flexible around working hours.

Please note this role will be working 4 on 4 off (07:00-18:00)
