Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
 
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. 
 
The new team has two locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In the area of Electronics and system Engineering, you will work on developing and testing key components that brings the performance of the Power Unit to the racetrack and contribute to competitiveness in a highly competitive environment. You will be in charge of testing Electronic, Power Electronics, battery management systems on dynos and in the lab.

Your Mission

You are responsible for defining and running complete test plans for our PU electronic and electrical systems. You will ensure the electronic systems are delivering the best performance during dyno testing and race week-ends, providing essential feedback data to all PU engineers (hardware and software).

  • Developing test plans, planning test sessions and resources
  • Testing electronic systems on dynos and in the lab
  • Support Mission Control during race week-ends
  • Analyzing test results, debugging embedded electronic systems. Fault finding, root-cause analysis
  • Analyzing test data from dyno testing session and race week-ends
  • Participate in development of low-voltage electronics and systems
  • Defining test bench requirements, developing electronic test systems architectures

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • Strong skills in electronics design and development in a motorsports environment
  • Strong skills in automated systems, especially test and measurement equipment and protocols
  • Strong skills in fault analysis in distributed electronic systems, signal integrity, EMC
  • Good understanding of hybrid powertrains
  • Programming skills (embedded C, scripting) are a plus
  • High level of motivation and personal initiative
  • Strong ability to work in a team
  • Targeted, independent and structured working practices
  • Willingness and flexibility to support test sessions and races during weekends in Neuburg
  • Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
