Job Description
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our expanding Finance department in our highly successful Formula One team.
This exciting Assistant Financial Controller opportunity will primarily provide dedicated support to the Chassis Cost Cap Controlling team. As a subject matter expert on the F1 Chassis Financial Regulations, you will liaise and support Finance and the wider Red Bull organisation in optimising application of the regulations, improving compliance, and enhancing reporting outputs with all stakeholders.
To be successful in this Assistant Financial Controller position you will be confident in interrogating expansive financial datasets to model and create efficient and reliable spreadsheets with built-in controls. You will leverage your financial acumen to actively improve the reach, depth, and quality of the Cost Cap internal audit function and to further establish business process, data governance and best practice reporting within the Cost Cap and wider finance teams.
Strictly an on-site Assistant Financial Controller role, the candidate must be prepared to challenge the status quo at all levels of the organisation whilst remaining a committed team player. Alongside an accurate and logical approach to work, you need to be able to effectively prioritise your workload within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Essential competencies Assistant Financial Controller position:
We are looking for a confident communicator, who is diligent, methodical and completes work to a high level of accuracy. We also expect you to be able to evidence the following:
- Strong analytical skills and being able to manipulate large data sets
- Internal and/or External Audit experience
- Financial background with accounting qualification – ACCA/ACA preferred
- SAP and/or SAP BO, Hyperion experience is desirable
- Experience in use of Microsoft Power BI and/or Power Query is desirable
