Your responsibilities

The Material Handler is responsible for performing a variety of functions, including receiving and processing incoming materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders along with managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the Warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately picks material utilizing handheld scanner and delivery notes.
  • Packs truck and parcel orders by inserting proper material and quantities into containers and sealing appropriately for shipment. Includes use of Mobisys software to scan handling unit (HU).
  • Examines and creates shipment number and Bill of Lading (BOL), Packing Slip, Tracking Number, etc.
  • Accurately completes cycle counting.
  • Creates UPC label to re-box product in damaged boxes.
  • Puts away material from receiving (SUT & material transfers).
  • Executes bin-to-bin transfers.
  • Loads and unloads inbound/outbound trucks.
  • Utilizes proper equipment to move merchandise throughout the facility (following proper certifications).
  • Follows all processes according to work instruction.
  • Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.
  • Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Your profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Fluent in the English language (both, oral/written).
  • Proficient computer skills: typing, word processing, printing, etc.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize necessary software tools and programs such as SAP. Working knowledge of SAP and the basic functions in the WM module preferred.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus with a great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done without taking shortcuts.
  • Demonstrated successful employment track record, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to maintain a safe working environment.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
